Brazilian game marketing agency Druid Creative Gaming announced Wednesday that it is representing esports organization LOUD as its first client. Druid now will be responsible for LOUD’s marketing, communication, and commercial representation.
Druid’s Bernardo Mendes and LOUD co-founder Jean Ortega spoke to The Esports Observer about the deal.
“Talking with LOUD, we identified the necessity of better structuring its communication with the corporate public. So Druid enters as a branch of LOUD much more focused on B2B [Business to Business], on how LOUD will position itself for the brands and how it will work with them from now on,” said Mendes.
“As we create content daily, we already have a big asset in that area and a very big demand for the sales department. The biggest challenge for all companies that deal with influencers is entering the business world and knowing which are the best brands to work with, understanding how our demands can meet the KPIs and demands of our business partners,” said Ortega, highlighting that now LOUD’s creation will be 100% focused on improving its own content while letting Druid deal with business communication.
Talks between LOUD and Druid founders had begun when the organization worked with the marketing agency Cheil in Brazil for specific market activations. Druid is founded by the Cannes-awarded Claudio Lima filling the role of CEO, the former publicity agency Ogilvy and Samsung professional Evandro Guimarães as COO, and former ESL exec Bernardo Mendes as chief gaming officer. All are former Cheil employees, who left the agency with the intention of founding the new company, which will operate exclusively in the game market.
Mendes also revealed that Druid is receiving external investment but did not disclose details.
