Texas-based esports education company Esposure announced that it has signed a strategic partnership with gaming peripherals brand HyperX.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Under the terms of this new deal, HyperX will provide Esposure with equipment and other resources to its competitive gaming community. Esposure uses competitive gaming to promote “STEM-Certified online education” and help people of color and women find career paths into the esports and gaming industries.
According to a release, HyperX has already provided branded apparel and headsets to the Esports Learning Center (which is sponsored by Esposure’s charitable foundation, Esposure4All) at a Texas Juvenile Justice Department facility in Roanoke, Texas.
HyperX will also provide Esposure with headsets to be given away as prizes, help equip education partner labs, and more.
At the end of February, computer maker HP announced that it would buy the HyperX brand from Kingston Technology for $425M USD. Despite the announcement of new owners, HyperX has been busy in March; it announced a partnership with tournament organizer FACEIT and announced the launch of an apparel line with Champion.
