FaZe Clan have made it official with the signing of Markus “Kjaerbye” Kjærbye. The 22-year-old will join up with other notable names on the popular organization in the hopes of achieving better things.
Kjaerbye had been a member of North since his decision to leave Astralis in early 2018. A move that came as a shock to most would result in Astralis picking up Emil “Magisk” Reif and achieving heights no team had yet done in CS:GO. The departed on the other hand wouldn’t ever be able to live up to the same level of hype with his new home.
It seems he’s finally decided to leave that path behind him as he moves forward after two years. Kjaerbye will be jumping into the place of 16-year-old Aurimas “Bymas” Pipiras who had been on a stand-in/trial basis with FaZe from May to July after Olof “olofmeister” Kajbjer stepped down from the team.
FaZe’s new lineup will make their debut on August 19th as part of the ESL One Cologne event.
