The hiring of Foster capitalises on the momentum from the organisation’s crowdfunding campaign Fnatic carried out in the last quarter of 2020.

According to the release, the additions of Foster and Workman are expected to bolster Fnatic’s dynamic finance and creative teams, whilst ‘further securing its leadership position in the world of esports’.

As the CFO, Patrick will manage the financial operations of Fnatic, ensuring the company is well placed to emerge as a ‘definitive brand of esports performance’ with strategic growth in new global markets.

Patrick joins from Getaround, the global car-sharing platform, where he served six years as CFO and COO.

Brad Richards, People and Culture Director of Fnatic commented: “As a leader in esports performance, we are constantly working towards a more diverse and inclusive future. We are always on the lookout for top talent and welcome applicants from all backgrounds as we continue to grow our business in 2021 and beyond.”

Richards continued: “Through each new hire, we ensure a disruptive mindset and fresh perspective is brought to the table to further amplify our brand story. We are thrilled to welcome both Patrick and Georgina to Fnatic and know that their expertise will contribute greatly to the company.”

Georgina will lead Fnatic Studios, an internal production studio, and manage the execution of its campaigns through content development with collaborators.

Prior to joining Fnatic, Georgina was the Head of Production at retail marketplace Appear Here, where she was responsible for scaling production and managing distribution platforms.

Esports Insider says: Fnatic looks to continue amplifying its brand with the addition of two new hires. The comments from Brad Richards also seem to insinuate that perhaps the organisation could be looking for further additions to improve its backroom structure in the near future.
