Chinese esports organization Jingdong Gaming (JDG) has signed three partnership deals with the Taiwanese hardware company Micro-Star International (MSI), Samsung, and U.S. semiconductor chip leader Intel Corporation, respectively.
Financial terms of the deals were not disclosed.
Intel will act as the chief partner of JDG, while MSI and Samsung will become two of the official partners of the team, alongside gaming laptop brand Lenovo Legion, SONY, live streaming platform DouYu, mobile hard disk drive WD_Black, Bull Plug, Hyper X, Bose, and Lansdom.
JDG was considered as one of the best League of Legends Pro League (LPL) teams in 2020, as it won the 2020 LPL Spring Split, and was one of the top eight teams in the League of Legends World Championships.
As the esports property of Chinese e-commerce giant Jing Dong, JDG’s performance also improved the sales of Jing Dong’s gaming and hardware e-commerce area. Most JDG’s electronic device partners also have their own stores on Jing Dong. JDG also competes in Tencent’s mobile esports title, Peacekeeper Elite.
