OMEGA League: Europe Immortal Division got back into the
Dota 2 action today after a break since Sunday – with three more action packed
series with some massive teams involved.
To start things off today we saw FlyToMoon playing their
first series at OMEGA League: EU Immortal Division, as they went up against
Vikin.gg, who had already played two series in the opening three-day period. After
a completely one-sided first game, in which Vikin.gg destroyed their opponent,
FtM fought back to tie the series before one last game saw another fantastic performance
from Vikin.gg to close the series.
In the second series of the day Team Secret would take on
Ninjas in Pyjamas, with the latter struggling to find their footing in the
event – registering two losses in the opening three days. Nothing would change
today as Secret were their usual unstoppable selves, leaving NiP on the back of
a 0-2 defeat and their third loss in as many series in the group stage.
Closing out the day would be a gigantic series between Team
Nigma and Evil Geniuses, with both teams having won their opening series in the
group stage. Both squads were also playing with a stand-in, as EG were missing
their mid lane player and Nigma missing their captain, but this hadn’t stopped
them before. The first two games of the series were back-and-forth brawls in
which things could have gone either way, but after EG secured the first game,
Nigma made a superb comeback to tie the series and push the teams into a
decisive game three.
The final game was an absolutely brutal stomping from EG as
Nigma just had no answer to Artour ‘Arteezy’ Babaev’s Clinkz, which claimed multiple
Ultra-Kill’s throughout the demolition. In a little over half an hour, the
player claimed 20 kills, with the scoreline ending at 51-15. With that, EG secured
a solid 2-1 victory and moved into the top spot of Group A as they now await
their next challenger which will be Natus Vincere in a few days. For Nigma,
they will need to find some redemption tomorrow as they face off against 5men
as OMEGA League: EU Immortal Division continues.
