Singapore-based gaming chairmaker Secretlab has announced a new partnership with China-based esports organization Invictus Gaming (iG.) The collaboration is part of Secretlab’s expansion into China, which hosts the world’s largest games market. Along with the sponsorship, Secretlabs plans to launch the Invictus Gaming Edition chairs as an exclusive for China first.
A top-performing team
Since iG’s founding in 2011, it has played a major role in shaping the esports scene. This deal with Secretlab is an addition to IG’s success, as the chair manufacturer only partners with top-tier teams. In the League of Legends Pro League, iG has a reputation of being one of the most offensive-minded teams with top-performing players. Along with winning world championships and more, the organization expects to pull in $385.1 million in revenue this year.
Because of iG’s distinction, Secretlab hopes to support the organization by providing “world-class” comfort for its players. The special edition chairs feature designs inspired by iG’s popular 2018 jersey design, along with black accents and detailing. Additionally, the design also spotlights their wins from The International 2012 and the 2018 League of Legends World Championship.
A strong partnership for success
Ian Ang, co-founder and CEO of Secretlab, shared a few words regarding the partnership. “iG are just getting started, and we’re excited to be able to support them and Invictus Gaming in adding more trophies to their name.” He stated that he is a fan of their mechanical mastery, which is a result of talent and hard work.
IG’s CEO, known as VK, mentioned that Secretlab’s entry into China “could not have come at a better time.” He also added, “iG’s players have consistently been competing on Secretlab chairs on the global stage… and now they’ll be able to take advantage of the same performance edge and support during training.”
The special edition TITAN and OMEGA chairs will soon be available on Secretlab’s official website, shortly after its release in China.
