The Elder Scrolls: Blades has entered early access and players will be invited in waves, Bethesda Softworks announced Thursday. Blades is the mobile adaptation of the publisher’s fantasy franchise.
Players who signed up for early access (still available) will receive notifications by email on a rolling basis. The game is compatible with both Android and iOS devices. This FAQ lists which ones are supported.

Blades is more of a dungeon crawler with some role-playing elements. It’s played from a first-person perspective, with combat coming from multitouch commands. Dungeons are linearly arranged, and in a preview we saw earlier this month, the visuals are very well done. Blades will be free-to-play, using the two-currency system most of those games have that set aside some items for real-money transactions.
Announced at E3 2018, The Elder Scrolls: Blades was delayed from fall 2018 into this year. Bethesda also landed a big mobile hit with Fallout Shelter in 2015.
