A new Call of Duty Modern Warfare playlist update could be released this week but there’s a good chance that it will be overshadowed by something bigger. Like previous weeks, Activision and Infinity Ward are expected to launch some kind of COD patch in the coming days. Tuesday is when we usually see these new updates arrive for Modern Warfare and COD Warzone.
Recent leaks suggest that Infinity Ward is preparing to release a Duos, and a Quads playlist for Warzone.
There are also a number of bugs that are being looked into that could be released very soon.
Another report suggests that a special cosmetic bundle will be launched in the coming days for Warzone on PS4, Xbox One and PC
But things could run a little differently over the coming weeks, due to the Coronavirus and other releases being planned by Activision.
Last week saw a new Call of Duty Modern Warfare update delayed, before being released days later.
This new patch also went live in the early hours rather than during its usual 6pm GMT time slot.
So while a new playlist tweak could be coming on March 31, Activision might have other plans.
And it should be noted that a new patch has already gone live for Modern Warfare this week.

This latest change to the game was launched to help fix issues on the new Hideout map which went live earlier this month.
“A patch has just been released across platforms that fixes an area on Khandor Hideout where there was a missing door,” a message from Infinity Ward.
COD fans may also be interested to hear about another interesting rumour this week.
Recent reports suggest that Activision is preparing to release a remastered version of the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 campaign on March 31.
This will allegedly be available to buy as a standalone experience or through Modern Warfare, like with Warzone.
There’s no word on an exact launch time, although Activision often makes new content available at 6pm UK time.
However, it appears that some players in Germany have been able to access the game instantly, which suggests a midnight March 31 launch time.
According to a leak on the German PlayStation Store, Modern Warfare 2 Remastered will have a budget price tag of €24.99.
This means UK fans can expect to pay £24.99 for the game when it launches on March 31.
Perhaps surprisingly, Modern Warfare 2 Remastered has a hefty 46GB file size.
It’s unclear at this point if Activision is planning to drop the new Modern Warfare 2 experience as a surprise, or provide an announcement before launch.
The downside for fans of Modern Warfare 2 is that this new bundle will not include a multiplayer option on any platform.
There have been hints that instead of this option, Activision is planning to launch maps from Modern Warfare 2 in their MW game.
