Cyberpunk 2077: The 7 Best Cars

Cyberpunk 2077: The 7 Best Cars

Driving around in the vast and seedy Night City is exhilarating. Watching the neon lights blur by you as you barrel your way down busy highways and narrow alleyways smothered in thick smog simply never gets old. But the highs and thrills you get from racing through some of the game’s best areas would be nothing if the car you did it in was lackluster and unspectacular. Fortunately, Cyberpunk 2077 has a plethora of amazing cars for you to use throughout its heart-pounding thrill-ride of a story.

Whether it's a sleek and slick sports car that catches your eye or a beaten-up ride with a lot of history, there is a car for practically everyone in Cyberpunk 2077. While most cars are available for the player to steal on a whim, there are certain cars that require a little more effort to acquire. However, once you’ve got your hands on them, these cars feel truly incredible to drive and absolutely warrant the challenge, money, and time it takes to get them.

Updated October 18, 2022 by Jacqueline Zalace: Driving around Night City in a stylish and fast car is one of the best feelings in the game. We've added two more cars to this list, so you can build up your car collection and have one for every occasion.

7/7 Rayfield Aerondight S9 "Guinevere"

How To Obtain:

  • Have at least 50 Street Cred
  • Purchase from Wakako for $155,000

    • After purchase, it will be in a lot near the roundabout in North Oak, Westbrook

Like with a lot of the vehicles and missions in Cyberpunk 2077, there’s a reference or two hidden within their names. In the case of the Rayfield Aerondight S9 “Guinevere”, there are quite a few. Aerondight is the name of a sword found in The Witcher 3 and Guinevere is the name of a famous character from Arthurian legend, which makes sense considering the origins of the car’s manufacturer, Rayfield. Fortunately, the Rayfield Areondight S9 “Guinevere” absolutely lives up to its name, being a legendary car that can reach impressive speeds.

Its sleek design makes it one of the more visually appealing sports cars available in Cyberpunk 2077, but also warrants its extremely high asking price. While the price may be steep, and the required Street Cred quite high, it’s absolutely worth it once you get inside the vehicle. It is one of the smoothest cars to drive, so long as you can manage the high speeds, and looks fantastic on the neon-lit roads of Night City.

    6/7 Porsche 911 II (930) Turbo

    How To Obtain:

    • Chippin’ In Side Job

      • Choose not to shoot Grayson: He will give you the key and location
      • Shoot Grayson: Steal the Key and head to the activator button on the ship to lift down the container with the car

Johnny Silverhand is quite the character and will haunt your every waking moment throughout most of Cyberpunk 2077. Fortunately, having him in your life isn’t all bad, as you get a few pieces of his prized possessions throughout various missions. While his gun, jacket, and glasses are certainly fantastic, it is his car, the Porsche 911 II (930), that is the best reward. Based on an actual car manufactured by Porsche in the 70s, the Porsche 911 II (930) is Johnny Silverhand’s pride and joy before his death. Shortly afterward, the villainous Adam Smasher got his hands on it and locked it away for you to find years later.

Getting your hands on this souped-up version of a classic car is rather difficult as it comes tied to a morally ambiguous choice. Either way, driving the Porsche makes you feel fantastic and certainly lives up to the rockerboy dream that Johnny once lived.

      5/7 Quadra Type-66 "Javelina"

      How To Obtain:

      • Have at least 30 Street Cred
      • Purchase from a Fixer in The Badlands for $99,000

While a lot of cars in Cyberpunk 2077 merely look like vaguely futuristic versions of modern-day vehicles, the Quadra Type-66 “Javelina” truly embraces the game’s grungy cyberpunk aesthetic. Its sleek design contrasts with its more scrappy appeal, featuring both the tropes of a luxury sports car as well as various pieces of armour plating, making it fit snugly into the complex and conflicted landscapes of Night City.

Like with the majority of cars in Cyberpunk 2077, you can only buy the Quadra Type-66 “Javelina”. However, this is absolutely not a purchase you’ll regret, as the Quadra Type-66 “Javelina” feels phenomenal to drive. While there have been plenty of awesome vehicles throughout video game history, if there was one that could exist in real life, it would be the Quadra Type-66 “Javelina”.

      4/7 Quadra Turbo-R V-Tech

      How To Obtain:

      • Reward after Sex On Wheels Side Job

The Quadra line of vehicles is by far the best in Cyberpunk 2077, as they constitute the more visually appealing cars as well as some of the fastest. This could not be more apparent than in the Quadra Turbo-R V-Tech car. This incredibly fast sports car is not only one of the best designed in the game but also one of the smoothest to drive. Racing through Night City in the Quadra Turbo-R V-Tech car is an unparalleled joy.

However, in order to get this car, you’ll have to check off a couple of things first. You’ll initially have to complete the Heywood Gig, Life’s Work, which isn’t particularly difficult to do. Then, after waiting for some time, Jake, a character from that Gig, will shoot you a text thus starting the Side Job, Sex On Wheels. While the workaround to get it can be a little exhausting, it’s absolutely worth it once you get inside the comfy interior of that car and take it for a spin around Night City.

      3/7 Villefort Alvarado "Vato"

      How To Obtain:

      • Reward after Beat on the Brat: The Glen Side Job
      • Beat El César in the fight

There are so many fantastic Side Jobs in Cyberpunk 2077. From paranoia-infused mystery missions to finally saying goodbye to someone you lost, these missions can take some genuinely interesting turns. However, while certainly not the most nuanced of Side Jobs, perhaps one of the best ones is Beat On The Brat. Essentially, you have to make your way through various boxing matches until you come face to face with the final champion. It’s fun, visceral, and offers a couple of nice rewards for completing it. One such reward is the Villefort Alvarado “Vato” vehicle.

By defeating the boxing champ César Diego Ruiz, aka El César, he’ll offer you his garishly gold car, the Villefort Alvarado “Vato”. Now, you can not be a monster and let him keep it along with the money you get from the fight. He has a baby on the way, and taking all of this from him will make him and his girlfriend completely broke. Or, you can take the car and drive around Night City looking really cool and hopefully avoiding the crushing guilt of ruining their lives weighing on your mind.

      2/7 Mizutani Shion “Coyote”

      How To Obtain:

      • Have at least 20 Street Cred
      • Purchase from a Fixer in The Badlands for $77,000
      • You can also receive one for free by choosing not to help Panam in the With a Little Help From My Friends Side Job

The Mizutani Shion "Coyote" looks like a Hot Wheels car. Just one look at the car, and you will think, "this car can do some serious damage". You would be right in thinking this. Even the car's database entry describes it as "cutting through harsh terrain like a laser knife through butter".

This car was made for the Badlands; with it, you can zip around the desert area in no time. As one of the fastest cars in the game, the Coyote is surprisingly easy to handle. In general, the faster a car is, the harder it is to control. This doesn't hold true for the Coyote though.

      1/7 Rayfield Caliburn

      How To Obtain:

      • Have at least 40 Street Cred (needed for both obtaining methods)
      • Purchase (white version) for $127,000 from Dino Dinovic

        • After purchase, it will be in a lot at Gold Beach Marina
      • Obtain for free (black version) during Murk Man Returns Again Once More

        • The Ghost Town Main Quest will need to be complete
        • Lastly, we have the Rayfield Caliburn. There are two different versions of this car, with the black one being associated with the Murk Man Returns Again Once More. If you are unaware, Murk Man is an orphan who turned into a vigilante and dedicated himself to fighting 'darkness' within Night City. Sound familiar? Yes, Murk Man is the Cyberpunk Version of Batman.

This means that the black Rayfield Caliburn is essentially the Batmobile. Overall, it is also the fastest car in the game, capable of going well above 200 mph. If you are looking to get this car for free, you will have to complete a few steps. With Ghost Town complete and at least 40 Street Cred, this mysterious quest will appear south of the old location of the Raffen Shiv hideout. From here, you just need complete the quick quest and get the car.
