Cyberpunk 2077 fans have been given some great PS4 and Xbox One news from developers CD PROJEKT RED.
Cyberpunk 2077 is undoubtedly one of the most highly anticipated games on the horizon.
The next game from Witcher 3 makers CD PROJKET RED made a huge impression at the past two E3 shows.
It has all helped build a massive amount of hype surrounding the game ahead of the Cyberpunk 2077 release date next April.
When Cyberpunk 2077 was first showcased at E3 2018 the quality of the visuals left some wondering whether the title would end up on next-gen consoles.
However, while PS5 and Xbox Scarlett versions haven’t been ruled out, it will be hitting the PS4, Xbox One and PCs first.
And ahead of the Cyberpunk 2077 release date CD PROJEKT RED has assured fans about how good the game will look on current consoles.
CD PROJKET RED’s Alvin Liu said consoles are being targeted as “as first class platforms” for Cyberpunk 2077.
And Liu said the highly anticipated game will look “amazing” on PS4 and Xbox One.
Speaking to Wccftech, the UI director said: “We have a very custom engine, the RED Engine.
“And actually, we’re targeting consoles as first class platforms and it looks amazing there.
“So obviously, if you spent, you know, $2,000 building your PC rig, it’s going to look better on that.
“But the graphics are quite amazing for what you’re going to get from Cyberpunk 2077 on consoles and low-end PCs.”
Cyberpunk 2077 has a release date of April 16 2020 for PS4, Xbox One and PCs.
Ahead of the launch of the highly anticipated game CD PROJKET RED has moved to address rumours that there were three Cyberpunk games in the works.
It was claimed that, apart from the Cyberpunk game we know of, another triple A game was being developed as was a multiplayer title.
Speaking to GameSpot though, CD PROJKET RED clarified and said they have three separate teams working on Cyberpunk 2077.
Interestingly, they also revealed that they have a team working on an “unannounced mobile project”.
A CD PROJEKT RED spokesperson said: “We currently have a total of five teams working on a number of projects, with three focusing on the development of Cyberpunk 2077.
“These include CD PROJEKT RED Warsaw and Krakow, who are handling the main game, as well as the Wrocław studio, where around 40 industry specialists are engaged in technology R&D.
“A separate, dedicated team at the Warsaw studio is handling the development of Gwent.
“The final team is Spokko, which is currently working on a yet unannounced mobile project.”
