The next major expansion for Destiny 2 has been announced.
Destiny 2: Beyond Light is coming this fall on September 22, 2020.
Bungie is currently revealing more details about the game on its livestream, including several details about how the expansion will evolve yet again.
Beyond Light will mark the start of the fourth year of Destiny 2 content, following on from Season of Arrivals which comes to PS4, Xbox One and PC later.
Bungie's has released two teaser trailers in the livestream which showed a new destination coming to the game: Europa, a moon of Jupiter.
It looks as though the expansion will delve deeper into the games Pyramid ships that have been teased pretty much since the game first began.
Based on the trailer Beyond Light will continue the story of the games mysterious Exo Stranger, a character who has been pretty much AWOL since the very first Destiny game.
It's also been confirmed by Luke Smith that Europa will introduce the Deep Stone Crypt location. A place mentioned in Lore but not seen, which is believed to be the birthplace of the Exo characters.
Two more expansions have also been announced for Destiny 2. The Witch Queen is the new expansion coming 2021 and Lightfall is another content expansion coming 2022.
Destiny 2 is also confirmed to run at 4K 60 FPS on next-gen consoles when they launch later this fall.
Bungie also plan to introduce a sort of 'vault' for the game so they can remove content and reduce the file size of the game.
But it also means they'll be able to more effectively manage the game – including the introduction of some Destiny 1 content.
