New weapons and armour will be available to earn today through the returning Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris event.
Kicking off in the UK in the coming hours, the Trials have been a part of the Destiny experience since the original game and is one of the longest-running PvP events from Bungie.
The development team have tinkered with its format several times over the years, and it sounds like more changes are being planned for next season.
But before Bungie announces all that exciting stuff, we know the current rules will be staying in place for this week’s Trials of Osiris event.
Guardians can expect a refreshed list of loot to unlock that will be available to those who can string together enough victories.
Adept weapons have featured heavily over the past few months, with last week featuring an Eye of Sol Adept Sniper Rifle.
However, the exotic was only made available to those who can unlock a trip to the Lighthouse, making it beyond the reach of many.
The Trials of Osiris event will be launching at 6pm BST, with the map choice being confirmed as soon as servers go live.
The new rewards curated by Bungie will be available between now and the next Weekly Reset, which is scheduled for August 10.
For those new to the event, Saint-14 is the full-time Trials of Osiris vendor who currently resides in the Tower Hangar with his pigeons and ship.
And visiting him will be worth it for those who can smash through the Crucible and score some wins as Saint’s inventory updates with Trials Passages, Bounties, and the option to turn in Trials Tokens.

The map rotations continue each week, although Bungie has made changes to the weapons you can pick up during an event.
Bungie has also confirmed its plans to change the Trials of Osiris when the new season begins.
Most of the details remain unconfirmed but we do know that these tweaks will be made as part of a wider PvP refresh.
Assistant Game Director Joe Blackburn revealed the first details earlier this week, telling Guardians online:
“This year, the team has spent a lot of our future facing effort on plussing up the current crucible experience. You’ve seen some of this already in Stasis balancing, reputation updates, and shifting weapon metas.
“Next season, you’ll continue to see this effort with not only changes to 3-peaking but also what the team has been planning for the revamp of Trials of Osiris (tune in 8/24 for more info).
“Finally, after the dust settles on the Trials update in s15, we want to look at what other broad systemic improvements the PVP ecosystem needs. We want to provide something on the scale of this Trials rework to players every year.”
Details on other aspects of the Trials experience can be found below, courtesy of Bungie:
Trials Passages: There are five unique Passages that can be bought from Saint-14 which offer their own mechanics. Each Passage will track wins and losses in a single Trials run. If three losses appear on a Passage, players will be restricted from the activity and have to either reset the Passage or purchase a new one.
Mercy: Always available and Forgives one loss per run.
Ferocity: Always available and with zero losses, your Third Win grants a Bonus Win.
Confidence: Unlocks after going Flawless and grants a bonus reward from the Flawless chest.
Wealth: Unlocks at 5 wins and Increases Trials tokens from completing and winning Trials matches.
Wisdom: Unlocks at 7 wins and grants bonus XP from Trials Wins, scaling with the number of Wins on a Ticket.
Trials Bounties: Along with Passages, players can also purchase three different Trials Bounties which will reward players for completing them: Weekly Bounties will reward XP, Glimmer, 35 Valor Rank Points, and 5 Trials Tokens; Daily Bounties will reward XP, 15 Valor Rank Points, and 2 Trials Tokens; and Additional Bounties will offer XP and 2 Trials Tokens.
