Where is Xur this week? Bungie will soon be dropping the elusive merchant back into Destiny 2 for another round of hide-and-seek.

When he is back on the map, Guardians will be able to unlock a number of new rewards by purchasing them using Legendary Shards.

Xur’s location will be discovered by Guardians after 6pm BST today, around the same time the Trials of Osiris returns.

It means that Friday provides the perfect day to tweak your loadout and look at what Adept weapons are available.

However, unlike having to take down other Fireteams in the Crucible to unlock the best rewards during the Trials, finding out where Xur is and what he is selling is much easier.

Bungie never provides a rundown on what will be available, meaning gamers have to wait until Xur arrives back on the map.

Last week, Xur was selling the Skyburner’s Oath for 29 Legendary Shards, Eye of Another World for 23 Legendary Shards, Ophidia Spathe for Legendary Shards 23, and Severance Enclosure.

When Xur is back on the Destiny 2 map, we’ll be sure to share his location at the top of this article.

For anyone who has forgotten, Legendary Shards used by Xur are remnants of powerful items used to improve gear or trade for other stuff.

It should also be noted that Xur will be dropping items similar in power level to your character.

Destiny 2: Bungie teases ‘Trials of Osiris’ event

And another part of Xur that is new to the latest version of Destiny 2 is that he now drops Cipher Quests for free.

The Quest will reward you with an exotic Cipher, and last week included completing 21 Strikes or winning the same number of Crucible or Gambit matches.

Every week, Guardians can acquire one Exotic Engram using Legendary Shards that will decrypt as Exotics that aren’t already in your collection.

Xur is one of the only areas of the game that remains unchanged and provides pretty much the same services as back in the original game.

But Bungie has confirmed that other areas of the game are being reworked for the new season, with the development team revealing today:

“The first set of changes, coming in Season 15, have to do with Exotics that refund Super energy. As a group, these Exotics tend to outshine other Exotic choices, especially in high difficulty, endgame activities.

“In some cases, they can trivialize the content or make it feel like the only reasonable option to equip for your build. Most of our changes here aim to standardize how these Exotics work and to place a cap on how much Super uptime they can grant by themselves.

“To offset these changes, some of the perks were reworked to be more generous with their refund minimums. There’s also a new member of the family.

“The next batch of changes is focused on injecting some more power and excitement into some less popular choices. There are a few Exotics that missed the boat this time that need some extra special attention (like a certain pair of Hunter boots), and a lot more that could benefit from a nudge or two.”
