Fortnite Midas Challenges: The Pink Teddy Bear is leaving, Golden Llama staying put

Having extended Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 past its original endpoint, gamers are getting new Fortnite Week 9 Challenges to complete. These are available now and include new Midas Mission, which have been spread across the Season 2 map. There’s a long list of Fortnite Midas Challenges to complete and plenty of XP rewards for doing so.

One of the stranger tasks on the list includes finding and moving a big pink teddy bear found in Risky Reels.

“Carry a giant pink teddy bear found in Risky Reels 100 meters,” the official listing reads in-game.

However, since this Fortnite Challenges list was released, Epic Games has confirmed that they will be removing those Pink Teddy Bears from the map.

This is apparently due to an error, and this new change will not affect players who have already completed the challenge.

And even if you haven’t, Epic Games is set to give it to you as a way to make up for it being removed.

A message from Epic Games confirms: “Due to an issue, we’ve disabled the giant pink teddy bears required for Midas’ “Carry a giant pink teddy bear found in Risky Reels 100 meters” Challenge.

“But we also bear good news: we will be auto-completing this Challenge for all players shortly.”

As mentioned above, while this new challenge is disappearing, other tasks, including the Golden Llama, will not be leaving.

The “Search Midas’ golden llama between a junkyard, gas station, and RV campsite,” Challenge is staying put.

The Golden Llama between a Junk Yard, Gas Station and RV Campsite can be found in the eastern part of the map.

It can be found mounted on the wall in the building next to the bridge and car east of Frenzy Farm. The Golden Llama is mounted on the wall.

Fortnite Season 2 challenges revolve around different Agent characters introduced as part of the Season 2 Battle Pass.

The first two weeks of challenges revolved around special agent Brutus. TNTina took centre stage during Week 3 and Week 4, followed by Meowscles in Week 5 and Week 6 and Skye in Week 8 and Week 9.

Titled Midas’ Missions, the Week 9 and 10 challenges reward players with either the Ghost or Shadow variation of the Midas skin.

To unlock either the Ghost or Shadow version of Midas, players must complete the Week 9 and Week 10 challenges to unlock the Classified missions for the character.

Once you’ve picked a side and completed the associated mission, you’ll unlock that style for Midas. Players can only pick one style, so you’d better choose wisely.

Epic Games has also confirmed its plans to extend Season 2 and delay the launch of Season 3, telling Fortnite fans:

“We’re extending Chapter 2 – Season 2 of Fortnite beyond the original April 30 date. Our plan is to launch Chapter 2 – Season 3 on June 4.

“Before then, there’s lots of content coming in the current Season. We have multiple game updates on the way that will deliver fresh gameplay, new Challenges, bonus XP, and a couple more surprises up our sleeve.”
