The Genshin Impact 1.7 release date is reportedly scheduled to drop around July 16, and this week will see developers Mihoyo reveal what they have planned.
Fans will get a closer look at what’s coming next, with Genshin Impact 1.7 update set to be the focus of the next livestream.
This has become a big part of the Genshin release process and usually includes solid information regarding what new Banners will be coming to the game.
The interesting thing this time around is that Mihoyo is rumoured to be skipping the 1.7 update and going straight to Genshin 2.0.
Why it’s worth doing this is anyone’s guess, but it will certainly make things more interesting when people tune in today.
Livestreams also end with a fresh round of Genshin Impact redeem codes, with different live streams offering different codes.
There is no guarantee how many free codes will be made available or what they will contain, but there’s a good chance there will be some free primogems up for grabs.
The good news is that the start time and details on how to watch the upcoming Genshin Impact stream have been confirmed in advance, meaning fans don’t have long to wait to find out.
WHAT IS THE GENSHIN IMPACT 1.7 LIVESTREAM START TIME?
According to developers Mihoyo, today’s Genshin Impact 1.7 livestream will start at 1pm BST on July 9.
The Genshin livestream will be held on the Twitch Channel first, before being posted to YouTube later on.
So that means you will need to tune into Twitch to find out the details first before it appears on YouTube.
The message from Mihoyo adds: “Dear Travelers, The Genshin Impact Preview will premiere on the official Twitch channel at 8:00 AM (UTC-4) on July 9th – https://twitch.tv/genshinimpactofficial.
“The official YouTube channel will release the recording on July 9 at 12:00 PM (UTC-4) https://youtube.com/c/GenshinImpact.”
As shared above, today could reveal Mihoyo’s plans for Genshin Impact 2.0, which would mean technically skipping update 1.7.
Genshin Impact: PlayStation release thrilling gameplay trailer
While Kazuha became the first character to arrive from Inazuma, they won’t be the last, with plenty more being planned.
Both Yoimiya and Ayaka look set to join him later this month, and the wait time could be concise.
Ayaka has been leaked as a five-star character who will be a Cryo sword user with plenty to offer any roster.
She is expected to debut soon after Genshin Impact 1.7 is launched, perhaps as early as July 21.
Meanwhile, new gameplay challenges are coming to Genshin Impact the same day as the livestream is shown.
Enemies of unknown origin have come ashore to the Golden Apple Archipelago, intent on taking this seaborne paradise for themselves.
Use the mechanisms and the blessings from Momentum Discs to beat back the monsters in one fell swoop.
A message from Mihoyo explains: “New missions have also been added to Marine Hues. Complete them to receive BEP.
“Starting on the first day of the event, a new challenge will unlock each day until the seventh day, by which all the challenges will have been unlocked. Seven stages will be distributed at different locations throughout the islands.
“During the challenge, Travelers can defeat Berserker Opponents or destroy Momentum Discs to obtain Momentum. Accumulate Momentum to obtain Momentum Blessings and buff your characters.
“Momentum will decay over time, requiring Travelers to constantly defeat Berserker Opponents or destroy Momentum Discs to keep up the pace.”
