Glimpse Behind The Scenes Of Immortals Fenyx Rising With Dark Horse Book

Coming to a bookstore near you will be The Art of Immortals Fenyx Rising, a hardcover masterpiece, chronicling not only the artwork of Immortals Fenyx Rising, but also capturing unique and compelling comments from the creators. Every so often, a title comes along that instantly captivates audiences, and at the latest Ubisoft Forward event, Immortals Fenyx Rising did just that.

Perhaps it is the beautiful and expansive scenery. Perhaps Greek mythology sucks all of us in with the fantastical stories associated with the Gods and Goddesses of lore. More realistically, it just might look a whole lot like Breath of the Wild, as noted by early feedback to the gameplay reveal. The stunningly similar anime look has a bit of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, with a beautiful, glowing red fortress home to the father of monsters, Typhon. If you missed the trailer, you can enjoy it below.

Similarities aside, the team at Ubisoft did a fantastic job coordinating with Dark Horse Books to develop this 200-page masterpiece. The cover art alone captures much of what many of us came to know as Gods and Monsters throughout development, although nothing seems to have been lost in the transition to the new name.

The icing on the cake is truly the creator commentary, as they embarked upon creating a new winged demigod with the ability to wield the power of the gods. A genre that is so saturated across so many domains with Greek mythology presents no small amount of challenges, and yet it appears the team has not only done it, but accurately captured the journey.

The tome is currently slated to release across most major book outlets for just under $40 with pre-orders available for January 19, 2021. The game itself is slated for wide release on December 3, 2020, across all major platforms, including next-gen as well as Google Stadia. Still can’t shake that deja vu? No problem, you’re right. Breath Of The Wild also had an art book, and it was also awesome.
