If you thought the best thing about Halo Reach coming to Xbox One and PC later today was the ability to play the game on new systems, you'd be wrong. Dead wrong.
Whilst it is amazing that Halo Reach launches at 6pm this evening in the UK , the most impressive news about the game is actually hidden away in a 343 Industries blog post.
The developers behind the game revealed in an update that the multiplayer portion of the game is going to have a massive amount of content when the game's servers go live for the new platforms.
And some of the best content in Halo has always come from the community.
"A really cool feature that will be available Day 1 includes the roughly 6.2 million maps and modes from legacy file shares on Halo 3, Halo: Reach, and Halo 4" writes 343 .
The multiplayer part of the game will, as explained, contain 'legacy' maps that are being imported to the game from the Master Chief Collection on Xbox One – so this will be the first time Steam users will ever get to trial this content.
Xbox One users will have had access to some of this multiplayer content, but with the launch of Reach there will be a ton more modes to get your teeth into, too.
