OtterBox And Xbox Reveal Impressive Lineup Of Mobile Gaming Accessories

OtterBox and Xbox have officially revealed their new lineup of mobile gaming accessories. Products in the catalog include a mobile gaming clip, Xbox controller shell, and a versatile carrying case.

The new lineup is surprisingly robust, consisting of five products available in a variety of colors and compatible with a wide range of devices. The most excited reveals, however, were the mobile gaming clip and Easy Grip Controller Shell. Here’s everything the two companies have been working on.

Mobile Gaming Clip

OtterBox’s mobile gaming clip is “designed specially for Xbox to ensure zero interference with your controller’s functionality, all while balancing the weight of your phone perfectly to keep your wrists comfortable for hours of gaming.” The product features RapidAdjust technology, allowing you to quickly change its position with one hand while gaming. There are also numerous pivot points on the clip, giving you multiple ways to angle the screen and find a comfortable gaming position. MSRP: $29.95

Gaming Carry Case

It looks a bit wonky on the outside, but inside you’ll find enough space to carry your Xbox controller, gaming clip, cables, and other accessories. It also features a kickstand on top of the case that can be used to prop up your phone for a bit of quick gaming without the need for a gaming clip. There’s even a passthrough to charge your gear without the need to remove it. The case is backed by a limited lifetime warranty, so you can rest easy knowing your gear is safe. MSRP: $44.95

Easy Grip Controller Shell

This product “augments your controller’s durability and makes it your own with a versatile, personalized design that doesn’t compromise performance,” said OtterBox. The team wanted to provide a level of comfort typically only see in pro-level gamepads, giving you a few swappable grip pads to customize and upgrade your regular Xbox controller. It also boasts a “sweat-reducing” design with “no slip grip.” Those same rubber grips even provide a level of antimicrobial protection, helping keep the controller clean in between gaming sessions. MSRP: $39.95

Beyond those three big reveals, OtterBox also showed off an Easy Grip Gaming Case ($54.95) with heat dissipating technology and the Gaming Glass Privacy Guard ($49.95) for prevention of both scratches and unwanted viewing. All told, it looks like the partnership between the two companies resulted in some pretty unique products. No doubt the gaming clip will become a hot product this year, and one of the best ways to experience cloud gaming while on the road.

OtterBox is well-known for its durable, long-lasting cases, and it seems that tradition will carry on as it ventures into the world of mobile gaming.

All the above products will be available for pre-order on January 25, with a shipping date slated for the middle of February. For more info on the lineup, head over to the official OtterBox Gaming website.
