After days of waiting for the rumoured re-stock, PlayStation 5 consoles are finally back in stock at Argos.

And unlike previous stock drops that were online-only, Argos customers can actually purchase a PS5 console in store!

According to the ever-reliable PS5 UK Stock Twitter account, Argos is accepting walk-ins for PS5 consoles.

What’s interesting about the latest re-stock is that customers have made successful purchases, despite the console showing as sold out on the app.

Indeed, it could be worth popping in to your local Argos store over the weekend, because you might get lucky.

“News: Argos stores are accepting walk-ins! This was from a store which at the time, did not have a green in-stock button on the app.

“It’s definitely worth going to your local to try, even if it’s OOS on the app.”

As COVID restrictions begin to ease, purchasing PS5 consoles in store will become an increasingly viable option.

With all of the problems buying PlayStation 5 consoles online, in-store re-stocks might actually be more beneficial to customers.

It will certainly prevent bots and scalpers from buying up all of the stock in an instant, especially if stores limit sales to one per customer.

In the meantime, to give yourself the best possible chance of securing a PS5, it’s worth bookmarking some of the more popular stock checker accounts.

This includes Digital Foundry Deals, Stock Informer, PS5 UK Stock – Instant Updates, PS5 UK Stock and Express Gaming – the latter of which will have live updates throughout the week.

Some of the accounts mentioned above have Discord groups for PS5 customers, while some have live streams and alerts on sites like YouTube.

Customers are generally encouraged to have multiple devices open when trying to purchase a PlayStation 5, and to sign in to retail accounts when available.
