Twitch And Foot Locker Celebrate The Return Of Basketball With Exclusive Stream

The pandemic took all live events away from us, but that doesn’t mean that sports are over. To celebrate the return of basketball, Twitch and Foot Locker are teaming up this weekend to stream events that you’re not going to want to miss.

Foot Locker is inviting fans to share their love of the game by using the hashtag #ForTheLove. If you want to be part of this unique digital experience, head over to Foot Locker’s Instagram or Twitter accounts and tell them why you love basketball for a chance to have your content projected onto the court in Downtown LA. You’re unlikely to have a chance to have your pictures projected on to a professional court ever again, so make sure you take advantage of the opportunity.

The projections will be streamed each day from 8:30 pm to 11:30 pm PST and again from 11:30 pm to 1:30 am PST. To see it, you’ll need to head over to Foot Locker’s Twitch channel to see the stream. If you’re surprised that Foot Locker has a Twitch channel, you probably aren’t alone. Rest assured, however, that their content is top-notch and they care deeply about the experience that they are giving you.

Join us live 8/22-8/24 to celebrate basketball culture with an interactive projection event each night from 11:30PM – 2:30AM EST. Each night will feature guest appearances, music, interactive projections and of course, sneakers. Tune in at #ForTheLove #BecauseSneakers Design by:@temi.coker

Of course, pictures aren’t the only things on display this weekend. Yesterday night, the channel streamed a dunk contest between @everybody_hatechriss and Harlem Globetrotter @olivertwst_. Tonight, there will be a “sneakers” game, which we can only assume is a game of “horse” but, you know, promoting sneakers. Finally, on Monday there will be a one-on-one game featuring YouTuber @cashnasty and NBA playmaker affiliate @bonecollector6.

If you’re a fan of art, basketball, and any one of these influencers, this is the kind of event that is catered toward you. It’ll be a fun weekend of fan appreciation and street games brought to a professional court. This will probably be a once-in-a-lifetime event, so be sure to log on to Twitch this weekend and check out what Foot Locker has going on.
