Call of Duty Warzone Season 5 will reportedly include a big event that will be both interactive and contain a big reveal.

Going live on servers in August, it’s alleged that Activision plans to unveil its next Call of Duty game via Warzone.

This will contain interactive elements and lead into a trailer, which will confirm the first official details of COD 2021.

Everything from big explosions and themed vehicles is expected to be part of the event, which will reportedly be hosted during Season 5.

And with Season 5 scheduled to begin on August 12, there is a good chance that the big reveal will happen sometime over the coming weeks.

The big question some gamers have is just how big an event Activision is planning for Season 5.

Epic Games recently held a massive event featuring massive visual effects, interactive fly-bys and an Ariana Grande virtual performance.

It was a huge spectacle and easily reinforced the idea that Fortnite events are the biggest and most visually captivating.

The big question is whether Activision is going to try and top what Fortnite has achieved in recent years.

Unfortunately for us, we don’t know what will be included in the coming Call of Duty Warzone event scheduled for Season 5.

We do know that Activision will want to be big enough to draw players in and exciting enough to get people talking about the next game.

Fortnite: Epic Games tease Invasion storyline in trailer

Rumours suggest that the next COD game will be set in the 40s and 50s and will have a WWII theme.

So there are a lot of different elements that could be used to make it a big event players will want to watch.

But based on previous COD events, it’s going to be a tall order taking on Epic Games’ Fortnite dominance.

One key way Activision could try and top Fortnite events is by pushing the interactive side, providing special time-travel missions that gamers can complete in groups.

But based on how complicated creating these spectacles can be, a big focus will be making sure that everyone can join servers and experience it.

Activision hasn’t shared much about its plans for a new event, so most of this information has been taken with a big pinch of salt.

This is what has been confirmed about Call of Duty Season 5, with the publisher sharing this statement with fans:

“There’s a spy in our ranks and a numbers game in Verdansk. Season Five’s offering of free content includes a first-in-the-franchise Double Agent mode in Multiplayer alongside new and classic Black Ops maps, in addition to new Zombies content and new Perks in Warzone that are set to shift the meta and more.

“Having emerged from the shadows with a direct assault on the Ground Station in South Africa and the de-orbiting of an American satellite constellation, Perseus continues their offensive.

“Wraith hands off Dragovitch’s data, stolen from the Soviet facility on Mount Yamantau to a mysterious operative, along with details of the next phase of Perseus’s nefarious plan.”
