In case you've been living under a rock, Fortnite has come back from the "dead" today. The game had been down for some time after nukes destroyed its colourful map.
Now live again, the game has a whole new map – but that's only part of the fun. For one, players can now use boats, swim, and even use environmental hazards to kill enemies (like shooting a gas station pump to cause an explosion). In fact, we can't wait to jump back in and see all the differences for ourselves.
Season 11 may be known as "Fortnite Chapter 2", but what will follow, and when? Thanks to the latest Battle Pass, we know when to expect Season 12.
When is the Fortnite Season 12 release date?
This season may have only just gotten underway, but as usual, Fortnite is an ever-changing beast – with changes happening constantly.
The new Battle Pass suggests that the game's current "Fortnite Chapter 2" moniker will last until Thursday, December 12th – so the next season will be an early Christmas present for fans of the battle royale game.
As you can imagine, we know nothing about the next season at present – we only just found out about the current one – but we'd expect something bombastic.
As we noted, the huge explosion that decimated the map that had been in the game since it's original Battle Royale spinoff was quite the cliffhanger – with players left staring at a black hole.
Say what you want about Fortnite, but the team at Epic knows how to keep players on their toes.
