YouTuber Creates What Frisk and Conker’s Victory Themes Would Be Like In Super Smash Bros Ultimate

A YouTuber by the name of Kibo was determined enough to create fanmade victory themes for Undertale’s Frisk and Bad Fur Day’s Conker inspired by Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. And they sound legit.

Kibo is a cover artist on YouTube that takes songs from various video games and adapts them to fit the up-tempo Super Smash Bros. sound. This time, they made victory themes for 10 characters, some of which are very unlikely to appear in Smash. However, with Steve from Minecraft and Joker from Persona 5 appearing in Super Smash Bros Ultimate, anything is possible.

These riffs off the original games perfectly fit the style of Super Smash Bros, as they take the overwhelming elements of the song and encapsulate them in 10 seconds. Most of these tracks taper off at the perfect moment with a cymbal crash or lingering note. The victory themes from Kibo also sound fittingly momentous.

The first and most unlikely pick out of the bunch is Bubsy. the bobcat inspired by Sonic the Hedgehog. Kibo takes cues from “Field Yield” in the SNES title Bubsy in Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind. While his last game was fine at best, we hope this cat doesn’t make it to the game.

Frisk’s victory theme takes inspiration from Undertale’s beginning theme, “Once Upon A Time.” They speed up the track, add a few drums, and it all sounds dandy. We hope if Frisk joins the game, it will sound like this. As Undertale was one of our indie games of the decade, we would love to see Frisk join the battle.

The best one out of the bunch, in our opinion, is Conker’s victory theme. It takes the beginning of the iconic “Windy” track from Conker: Live and Reloaded and strays it off with a cymbal crash and a concluding tone to curve off its quirky nature.

Other characters Kibo decided to tackle are Steve, the highly requested Geno from Super Mario RPG, Freddy Fazbear from Five Nights at Freddy’s, Kris from Deltarune, Dr. Mario (strange as he’s already in the game), Ristar, and Monika from Doki Doki Literature Club.

Ever since Cloud from Final Fantasy VII came to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Nintendo have collaborated with Microsoft for Banjo & Kazooie, it seems like the sky is the limit for this wacky love letter to video games. We think Master Chief would be pretty cool, but Crash Bandicoot would be an excellent pick too. We could see the retro console wars in game form with PlayStation (Crash), Sega (Sonic), and Nintendo (Mario) duking it out.
