Call of Duty: Warzone is giving away in-game rewards to Twitch viewers

We’re more than a week into Call of Duty: Warzone season 5 and Infinity Ward is bringing in a new way for fans to get cosmetic items. From Aug. 12 to 19, Warzone and Modern Warfare players can unlock special cosmetics, and even a short XP buff, just for watching Twitch streams.

The rewards will be handed out based on the amount of time you watch a streamer broadcasting either Call of Duty: Warzone or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare on Twitch.

Here’s the list of rewards you can get:

  • Watching 1 hour — “Smoke Up” sticker
  • Watching 2 hours — 1-hour Double Weapon XP token
  • Watching 3 hours — “Big Bang” animated calling card
  • Watching 4 hours — “Blast Check” weapon charm

To unlock these rewards viewers will have to have a Call of Duty account, which they’ll also need to link to their Twitch account. Even if your Twitch account was linked before, you may need to re-link it, so i’ts probably worth checking before you watch four hours of streams for nothing. Most of the game’s biggest streamers like TimTheTatman, NickMercs, and Tfue are all likely to have drops enable anytime they’re streaming Warzone or Modern Warfare.

You’ll also need to make sure you’re watching a streamer with drops enabled, which you can find out by looking for a “drops are enabled” callout in the stream’s tags. As long as the streamers you are watching have drops enabled, it won’t matter who you watch or whether not you switch streams, your total viewing time will still all count toward your reward.
